  • 'Sauvignon Blanc '15 ★★★★ - 'Pleasingly pungent Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, nectarine and lime zest flavours. Refreshing and flavoursome - a very good example of the Hawke’s Bay style.' 91/100

  • Estate Sauvignon Blanc '15 - 'Slightly smoky top note, passionfruit, guava and lime with some nettle-like herbal character, though it's neatly in the background. Light, fresh, lime and guava tang, pure acidity, a little bit of crunch and flint on a long clean finish. Lovely expression of NZ Sauvignon. Not so brash and abrasive as Marlborough with super ease of drinking too.' 93 points

  • Sauvignon Blanc '14- 'Delicate aromas of grapefruit, lemon peel, fresh apple and dill lead to a crisp and lively palate that shows excellent fruit purity and fine texture. It is delightfully rather than pungent, and offers delightful drinking. At its best: now to 2017.' 90 points, ★★★★★

  • Sauvignon Blanc '14 - 'The nose is fresh, full and bold in aromatics, showing gooseberries, grass and tropical fruits. The varietal expression is bright, clear and has good depth. Dry to taste, tightly bound flavours of gooseberries and cut grass are lifted by esters elements and complexed by some mouthwatering flintiness. This is a dry Sauvignon that has clear and mouthwatering grassy, gooseberry flavours.' ★★★★

  • Awatea '14 - '2013 was an outstanding vintage for New Zealand's answer to the Médoc and northern Rhône rolled into one: Hawke's Bay ... 2014 is thought of as potentially even better than the outstanding 2013.'

  • Sauvignon Blanc '13- 'Daisy fresh and zesty, this vibrant sauvignon shows lovely lifted aromas of green apple, white peach and citrus with a hint of floral on the nose. The palate is lively and taut with delicate fruit intensity, backed by racy acidity. At its best: now to 2016.'
    Featuring: Sauvignon Blanc 2013
  • Sauvignon Blanc '13- 'Concentrated aromas of gooseberries and grass, revealing layers of passionfruit pungency. Dry and medium-full bodied, tight and densely concentrated flavours of gooseberries and passionfruit show with real depth.' 18/20 ★★★★
    Featuring: Sauvignon Blanc 2013
  • Sauvignon Blanc '13- 'Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues. The nose is very fine and intense with penetrating gooseberry aromas, along with nettles and herbs in the cooler spectrum. This is tight and youthful. Dry to taste, the palate is elegant and slender with cooler-spectrum flavours of pronounced gooseberry, blackcurrant and herbal fruit. The acidity is crisp and racy, and the mouthfeel zesty and refreshing. This has a Marlborough-like expression, with up-front fruit expression, and moderate weight. A wine to drink over the next 2-3 years.' ★★★★

  • 'Lemon-green, an excellent colour. Bouquet is already dramatically varietal, at a careful point of ripeness bridging the gap between stone fruited Hawke’s Bay wine and capsicum-themed Marlborough. Palate is great, attractive mouth feel...thoroughly pleasant wine.'
