Merlot/Cabernets '14 ★★★★ - 'A beautifully proportioned Bordeaux-style red; the fragrant bouquet shows red/blue fruit characters with hints of floral, spice and dried herb notes. The palate is succulent and rounded with fine texture, nicely supported by supple tannins. At its best: now to 2019.' 88 Points

Merlot/Cabernets '14 ★★★★ - 'Very dark, deep, purple-hued ruby-red colour. This has a fresh, up-front and bold nose of vibrant and aromatic redcurrant and blackcurrant fruit. Medium-bodied, elegantly concentrated flavours of redcurrants and dark red berry fruit intermingle with blackcurrant, herbs and leafy elements. The fruit is lifted and aromatic, and sweetly juicy. Fine-grained, supple tannins carry the wine to a sustained, textural finish.'

'Although this is modestly priced, it is a serious wine made in earnest. Each parcel of variety and plot was fermented separately with extended maceration on skins, which provides excellent structure to the wine. The finished wine was matured in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 19 months with regular topping up. The youthful nose displays dark plum, blueberry, game and cedar. Complex and fragrant, it’s medium-full on the palate with lovely fruit intensity and fine texture, with a long and silky finish.' 90 points

'Moderately dark ruby-red colour with some depth. The bouquet is Merlot expressive with aromas of savoury and earthy plums, along with dried herb and tobacco elements. Attractive black berry and curranty notes unfold, along with secondary cedar oak spices. Medium-bodied and elegantly proportioned, this mouthfeel is tight and firm. Flavours of spiced plums and dried herb flavours feature, with acid drive. The oaking is prominent and encases the fruit somewhat. This has richness and sweetness within the firmness and grainy textures.' ★★★★
