Wines have been made here for over a century. Te Mata Estate has been at the forefront of the modern rejuvenation of the New Zealand wine scene for the last forty years. We are large enough to be well-resourced but small enough to concentrate on detail.
Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate is one of the few New Zealand wineries with roots in the nineteenth century. We remain family-owned, proud of our inheritance and committed to the future.
