This wine is also available in a Limited Selection
White gold in the glass, Estate Vineyards Chardonnay ’19 has the immediate refreshing appeal of ripe nectarine and lemon sorbet edged with sea-salt, roast almond and just a hint of smoke from French oak. The lush toastiness and crisp palate, with notes of mango, grapefruit, and pineapple, lead to a long, fine, fruit-driven finish. Classically Hawke’s Bay, Estate Vineyards Chardonnay ’19 is a stylish, modern chardonnay with intensity, complexity and charm.

WINEMAKING Estate Vineyards Chardonnay ’19 combines the best of traditional and modern winemaking. This involved tank fermentation to preserve the vibrant varietal aromas and clear, fresh fruit expression along with some barrel fermentation, barrel maturation on gross lees, and malolactic fermentation to enhance the complexity, richness and integration.
VINEYARDS The grapes for Estate Vineyards Chardonnay ’19 were harvested between 14 and 22 March 2019 from Te Mata Estate’s own vineyards in the Woodthorpe Terraces, Havelock Hills and Bridge Pa Triangle sub-regions of Hawke’s Bay
ORIGIN
Sourced exclusively from Te Mata Estate’s own vineyards, the estate vineyards wines are blended to represent the best qualities of their variety, vintage, and Hawke’s Bay origin.
